Abstract

1,156,907. Overshoes. O. W. NEUMARK. 13 March, 1968 [13 March, 1967], No. 11572/67. Heading A3B. An overshoe, particularly for use by parachutists, consists of a thick sole 9 of shock absorbing material, e.g. low or medium density polychloroprene foam, a flexible upper 5, e.g. of canvas, and coacting strips 11, 12 of touch-fastener tape which allow the overshoe to be securely fastened around a normal boot in a quickly detachable manner. The upper 5 may consist of two panels 7, 8 joined by seams 6 or alternatively the toe or heel may be left open. In a modification (not shown) the upper consists of a toe cap and a heel stay and the strips 11, 12 are attached to the sole 9.
