Abstract

1,154,114. Track apparatus. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 8 March, 1968 [13 March, 1967], No. 11422/68. Heading B7N. In an inductive pick up arrangement for transmitting information to an electrically powered train, train-carried pick up coils 6, which co-operate with line wires 1, are disposed with their longitudinal axes tangential to the magnetic lines of force produced by the information carrying current in the line wires at a position in which these lines of force are at right angles to those produced by the traction current in the rails.
