An alloy suitable for use at high temperatures consists, by weight, of Cr 16À5 - 32% W 16 - 30% C 0À15 - 0À9% at least one (Ti) in amounts such that (Zr) (a) 3 x (%Ti) + 2 x (%Zr) #2À4% (b) Ti # 2À5%, Zr # 5% (c) Ti + Zr # 5% Ni ( and impurities) - balance. Specified impurities are Reformer tubes may be cast from the alloy.
