Abstract

1,153,585. Traveller. T. KIMOTO. 14 June, 1966 [24 June, 1965], No. 26548/66. Heading DID. A traveller T for use in ring spinning and twisting machines is formed by a uniform cross-section strip having a width to thickness ratio greater than 4:1 and comprising (a) a centre portion having a transverse cross section curved to present a convex inner surface to the yarn and a concave outer surface and (b) end portions having a flat transverse cross-section. The end-portions preferably have horns 6 which are of arcuate shape and are twisted to diminish frictional contact with the ring during running.
