1,152,108. Piperazine derivatives. KYORIN SEIYAKU K.K. 8 Sept., 1967 [28 Dec., 1966], No. 41106/67. Heading C2C. Novel piperazines of Formula I wherein R<SP>1</SP> is an acyl group and R<SP>2</SP> is a hydrogen or halogen atom, or an alkyl or alkoxy group and their acid addition salts are prepared by reacting a compound I in which R<SP>1</SP> is a hydrogen atom with an acid R<SP>1</SP>OH or a functional derivative thereof followed by salt formation where required. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a compound of Formula I in association with a suitable vehicle and possess activity as analgesics and antiphlogistics. They can be administered orally, perlingually, transcutaneously or subcutaneously.
