Abstract

1,151,381. Removable bodies. HANDS TRAILERS Ltd. 24 Jan., 1968 [2 Feb., 1967], No. 5080/67. Heading B7B. A trailer for the transport of containers has the longitudinals 16 provided with an outwardly extending flange 13 which support the weight of the container 29 via the anchorage members 17, the top faces 21 are level with or slightly above the level of the top face of the members 16. The members 17 are secured by bolts &c. to the vertical faces of the longitudinals 16 in such positions that the upwardly extending locking tongues 18 correspond with the openings in the corner castings of the container. A removable or foldable handle 27 rotates the tongues 18 to lock the containers to the vehicle.
