Abstract

115,084. Davis & Son, J., and Davis, W. H. April 25, 1917. Battery lamps.-A switch for a miner's or other lamp comprises a ring 5 having an internally projecting tongue 13 which forms the movable contact and is preferably knife-edged. The ring loosely surrounds two abutting insulating disks 4, 7, one or both disks being flanged so as to form a groove for an internal flange 6 on the ring. Stationary switch contacts consist of screws 15, 11<a> respectively securing the upper disk to the flanged lamp-holder and the lower disk to the battery case. Other screws fasten the two disks to gether. A recess in the lower disk allows of par. tial rotation of the ring and tongue.
