Abstract
15,222. Day, G. St. J. Oct. 28. Holders are formed in two parts a, b, of insulating-material, screwed together, one part a carrying the wire connexions and the lamp contacts a<1>, and the other part b carrying the lamp and supporting the shade. A collar c on which the shade fits may be formed on the part a, as shown, or on the part b, and a shadeprotector or " skirt " may be screwed on to the outside of the part b. The parts may be locked together by a pin passing through them. The rotary movement of the parts may be utilized to obtain a switch action, and the movement may be limited by a pin a<2> passing through the part a and projecting into a slot b' in the part h. The part b may be provided with spring contacts which connect the contacts a' with the contact plates of the lamp.
