An electrical terminal comprises a metal sleeve 1 embracing a conducting bar 4 on which rests a leg 14 by a U-shaped member 3 which also comprises a leg 12 and a web, wider than the leg 14 and stiffened by a corrugation 17, to guide and retain the sleeve 1 when a clamping screw 2, which passes through bore holes in the legs of member 3, is turned to retain a conductor (not shown) in the space 7 between sleeve 1 and the bottom of bar 4. An annular spring 16 equalizes the contact pressure between the top of the sleeve 1 and a non-rotatably mounted nut plate 15. The leg 14 may contain an additional bore (not shown) so that it may be fixed, together with the bar 4, in an insulating housing 5.
