Abstract

1302553 Two-part couplings BULPITT & SONS & Ltd 21 Aug 1970 [22 May 1969] 26055/69 Heading H2E An inlet socket for an electric heating device, such as a kettle, in which two pin contacts are mounted on the ends of a heating element 15, the ends of the heating element are received in a terminal head 10 co-operating with a cupshaped insulating shroud member 19, having apertures 21, 22, 23 in its base to receive the contact pins and at least one securing screw to secure the shroud to the terminal head. The securing screws pass through the apertures 32 in the terminal head and enter threaded bosses 34 in the kettle. Alternatively the bosses may be on the terminal head so with the terminal head within the kettle and the shroud outside, the kettle wall is clamped between them upon tightening the screw. A rib (13 Fig. 1, not shown) may then be provided to pass through the kettle wall and co-operate with a groove in the shroud. An L-shaped earth pin 26 may be clamped between the head and shroud.
