Abstract

1,150,168. Dyeing cellulose materials with reactive dyes. CIBA Ltd. 2 June, 1967 [2 June, 1966], No. 25652/67. Heading D1B. Cellulosic yarns are dyed with reactive dyes and simultaneously sized with carboxymethylcellulose in a continuous process, the dyes having a monohalogenated triazine group or a dihalogenated or trihalogenated diazine group or a 2-chlorobenzythiazole group, an alkaline agent or acid-binding agent being present in the sizing bath and optionally a wetting agent. Fixation of the dye is effected by dry heat or steaming processes and may be effected after the yarn is woven to a fabric.
