Abstract

Method comprises (a) treating the warp yarns with an impregnating bath contg. >=1 reactive dye (b) drying, (c) weaving to a fabric, (d) mercerising the fabric, and (e) further treating in the usual way. Specif. during dyeing on the beam one or more coloured warps and/or white warps are combined. The warp yarns are woven with similarly treated weft yarns. Dye development is unnecessary. Fixation of the dye occurs during mercerisation. Multi-coloured denims can be obtd.
