Abstract

Tufted carpet yarns are spaced dyed in an appts. provided between the vertically spaced vat and fixer with >=1 program-controlled spraying nozzles actuated by electromagnets to vary the tone intensity and range, whilst the excess dye is removed by air jet nozzles disposed below and above the vat and fixer, respectively.
