933,283. Woven fabrics. COLOURCRAFT (GALA) Ltd. Sept. 18, 1961 [Sept. 20, 1960], No. 32295/60. Class 74 (2). [Also in Group IX] Multi-coloured fabric is woven or knitted from hanks of yarn selected at random from groups of hanks which have been dipped into a plurality of dyes, the various groups being dyed differently. A group of hanks 13, supported on bars 14 and weighted by bars 21, is partly immersed in a dyebath, after which other parts of the hanks are similarly treated in a dye of different colour ; additional colours are obtained where the dyeings overlap. Clamps 15 may be applied to prevent the take-up of dye, the hanks being dipped twice into the same bath, once with and once without the clamps, to produce tones of the same colour. The hanks may be overdyed in a partly exhausted bath of transparent black dye.
