Abstract

1,150,136. Golf club. MS&R, Inc. 20 July, 1967, No. 33406/67. Heading A6D. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3 a golf club is joined at the centre of percussion (i.e. the point where the shaft would bend most in striking a ball) by a joint 6 formed by interlocking screw threads 15 and 20 having at least three turns, one of which is a discontinuous screw thread (shown by flat areas 25) and a pin 14 coaxial with the screw thread and fitting into an axial bore 22 in the other shaft member. Plugs 10 and 17 bearing the mating parts are secured-by rivets 11 and 18.
