Abstract

1,149,055. Printing processes. XEROX CORP. 25 April, 1966 [29 April, 1965], No. 17935/66. Heading B6C. [Also in Division C3] A pressure -transfer printing process uses as the ink a composition comprising 33-72 parts by weight of a pigment dispersed in a binder which comprises 3 to 11 parts by weight of wax, 3-10 parts by weight of an adhesive resin, and from 25-50 parts by weight of a high molecular weight polysiloxane which is incompatible with the wax and the adhesive resin (see Division C3). This ink is applied to a ribbon which may be used in a typewriter to form an original. By rolling and applying pressure a negative copy may be obtained from which up to five positives may be printed by applying a similar rolling with pressure.
