Abstract
1,147,479. Photographic methods of producing coloured proofs. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Oct.14, 1966 [Oct.24, 1965], No.45956/66. Heading G2C. Colour proofs for use in colour printing processes are produced by exposing each differently coloured image to a separate light-sensitive proofing plate which comprises a transparent, dimensionally stable, support with a hydrophilic layer and a colourless light-sensitive layer, developing the plates to form relief images thereon and imbibing the image with a lacquer containing the printing ink which is to be used with the corresponding printing plate and then placing the proofing plates in register to obtain the desired proof. The preferred proofing plate is that disclosed in Specification 1,108, 559 using a diazo resin as the lightsensitive layer and generally four proofing plates are used to produce the colour proof.
