Abstract

Hoods.-Removable side windows for automobiles are slidably mounted upon one or more extensible rods adapted to be detachably fastened to the wind-screen post and the main hood stick. Figs 1 and 2 show two sashes h, i slidably carried by brackets k, j, m, n upon a telescopic rod a which screws into the wind-screen post p and has a slot for engagement with a turn.button on the hood stick c. The rod is further supported by the upright d comprising outer and inner members f, g detachably secured to the body and the hood member x. To the lower edge of the sashes the members p, q, Fig. 3, of a second telescopic rod are respectively fastened so as to move with the sashes. A third sash s, Fig. 5, may be suhstituted for the upright d. In this case, a separate telescopic rod a is provided for each of the sashes h, i.
