Abstract

1,142,956. Spray-producers. U.S. STONEWARE Inc. 27 May, 1966 [21 June, 1965], No. 24010/66. Heading B2F. A distributor suitable for spraying liquid over a bed (20) within a tower (5), Fig. 6 (not shown) comprises a single feeder conduit 1 in the form of a plurality of sections interconnected by flanges 3, two flexible closed branch pipes 8 being connected to each side of each section, and a valve (12), Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown) co-operating with each of a plurality of small spaced orifices (10) in the pipes, all the valves being actuated simultaneously by the liquid pressure within the pipes. A curved velocity retarding tube 18 is associated with each orifice, adjacent tubes being curved in opposite directions and the tubes adjacent the conduit 1 being curved so as to direct the liquid beneath the said conduit.
