A bidet installation comprising a bidet 1 provided with water inlets 6 and 7, a spray nozzle 9 and a waste outlet 8 is characterized by the provision of an airbreak (at 25) up-stream of water supply branches 12, 13 between the spout 23 on one hand, and the water in branch 12 or 13 or tank 19 on the other hand. The water supply in branch 11 is controlled by a shut-off valve 14.
