Abstract

1,142,717. Photo-copying apparatus. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORP. Oct. 25, 1967 [Oct. 26, 1966], No.48522/67. Heading G2A. Copying paper 10 is fed from a supply reel 11 between feed rollers 13, 13', past a cutting device 16, and guided on to a belt 19 where an original is also received from a guide 30, the two sheets then being delivered to an exposure station. The operation of the cutter is controlled by the speed at which the paper moves, so as to reduce wastage. The feed roller 13 is driven through a clutch 26 from a motor 25. The controlling circuit Fig. 2 (not shown) includes a relay coil connected across the armature of the motor, so sensing the armature voltage, and is operated by the original making contact with a series of switches S 5 , S 4 , S 2 . If the motor speed is below a certain value, the cutter operates at a certain point in the cycle of operations. If the motor speed is above this value, the relay coil actuates a change-over switch which causes the cutter to operate a little sooner.
