Abstract

1,142,614. Moulding tyres. DUNLOP CO. Ltd. 25 May, 1966 [8 June, 1965], No. 24106/65. Heading B5A. [Also in Division B7] A tyre tread moulding matrix 10 has circumferential ribs 13, each pair of which forms therebetween a circumferential tyre rib; between the ribs 13 a number of projections 14, each comprising a stem 15 and head 16, are located. The stem provides a slot in the tyre rib, and the head a drainage channel through the rib base. A series of blades 17 of zig-zag shape between adjacent stems provide additional slots in the tyre rib.
