Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve running property by a constitution wherein a tire consists of two block groups in a given number for arrangement on its circumference, blocks of each group are linked to ribs every other block, and the ratio of actual ground contact area to total ground contact area is kept within a given range. CONSTITUTION:A center rib 1 is positioned at the center of a crown part and is provided in sequence circumferentially, thereby improving stability of a tire on dry roads. A block 2 of the first block group A interposed between the first zigzag groove 6 and the second zigzag groove 7 and separated by a groove 8 is given in 80-90 pieces to improve an edge effect on roads with snow or ice thereon and also to prevent heel-and-toe wear. A block 3 of the second block group B arranged radially to the groove 7 and separated by the groove 8 is positioned to cover from the neighborhood of a side top end to a shoulder and is linked to a rib 5 every other block, thereby improving traction, rut riding-over effect and edge effect on roads with deep snow thereon.
