Abstract

1,141,691. Moulding concrete. J. G. RODDICK. 18 May, 1966 [8 Jan., 1966], No. 964/66. Heading B5A. [Also in Division E1] Concrete slabs are formed by a method comprising placing rows of inverted vessels 1 on a horizontal platform 2, placing reinforcing rods 11 between the vessels and then pouring concrete into the spaces therebetween to cover the vessels, the poured concrete then being vibrated. The concrete flows into the vessels through cut-away edge portions 4 thereof to a level defined by air trapped within the vessels. The vessels are held together during pouring by members 7, Fig. 2, the hook ends 8 of which are located in slots 6 in feet portions 5 while central parts 10 seat the reinforcing rods. Members 7 are stabilized by wires 12 welded thereto. Reinforcing wires may replace rods 11.
