[Also in Division E1] In a method of moulding concrete structural components, the mix including a spherical aggregate of substantially uniform size and a cement matrix is vibrated in the mould to distribute the matrix by gravity so that the concrete at the bottom of the mould is dense and without voids while the concrete at the top of the mould is porous. Reinforcing members and/or fibrous material may be located in the porous part of the component.
