1,141,426. Valves. H. G. BINDER. 22 Feb., 1967, No. 8425/67. Addition to 977,793. Heading F2V. The valve of the parent Specification is im. proved, in that the disc-like valve member l, n is provided with a member m which at its periphery engages the wall of the valve bore in closed position as shown at V, and in that this member m is movable in the plane of the disc to accommodate for the shortening in the distance between opposite points on the wall of the housing intersected by a diameter of the disc perpendicular to the plane of the paper as the position of this diameter changes between open and closed position from h 1 to h 2 . In this way, binding is avoided. The ring m as shown may be replaced by a plate o, Fig. 6 (not shown), slidable by means of slotted holes r on rivets q which secure opposite plates of the disc together.
