Abstract

1,141,054. Valve and transistor sawtooth circuits. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 26 Aug., 1966 [8 Sept., 1965], No. 38411/66. Headings H3P and H3T. In a line deflection circuit for a television receiver, a negative flyback pulse is fed from the output transformer 21 to the grid of the output valve 11 and is isolated from the transistorized line oscillator by means of a diode 7. This arrangement ensures that the line output valve 11 is blocked during the flyback period whilst diode 7 enables a low voltage transistor to be used at 1. Transistor 1 preferably has a resonant circuit 2, 3 in the base circuit but may be replaced by a blocking oscillator or multivibrator.
