Abstract

1377734 Television line time base circuit MULLARD Ltd 17 Nov 1971 [12 Jan 1971] 1399/71 Heading H3T In a television line time base circuit of the type comprising a transistor TR switched by line pulses to periodically interrupt the D.C. supply to the line output transformer T2, the transistor TR normally has a maximum working voltage of 150 V whereas typical thyristor power supplies operate to give 200 V. The invention thus proposes the rectification at D 1 of the line sweep or line fly-back pulses from secondary winding 5 and the presentation of the 50 V rectified voltage as a backing-off voltage across load resistor R2 and smoothing condenser C3. A tuning condenser C1 can be connected as shown across an S-corrector condenser C2 and the line deflection coil LY.
