Abstract

1,254,077. EHT generators. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 28 Aug., 1969 [30 Aug., 1968], No. 42815/69. Heading H2F. [Also in Division G3] The output of a transistorized EHT generator for a TV receiver is stabilized by a variable inductor 9 the inductance of which is controlled in dependence as the EHT voltage so as to vary the effective inductance of the EHT transformer 3. As shown, EHT is provided at 20 by rectification at 7 of the flyback pulses induced in transformer 3 by turning off the line output transistor 1. The EHT voltage is compared with that of a Zener diode 18 and used to control the current in transistors 14, 13 which in turn varies the inductance of transductor 9 so as to adjust the effective inductance of transformer 3 and so compensate for changes in EHT voltage. In Figs. 1-4 (not shown) rectifier 7 is replaced by a voltage tripler whilst in Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) transductor 9 is connected across the primary or an auxiliary winding of transformer 3.
