Abstract

1,140,147. Transistor amplifying circuits. FERNSTEUERGER€TE ZACHARIA - OELSCH - MEIER. 28 Oct., 1966 [29 Oct., 1965], No. 48502/66. Heading H3T. An impedance converting arrangement comprises two complementary transistors biased in opposite directions at their bases with respect to a first input terminal 32 and interconnected at their emitters, via series emitter resistors 10, 12, an input voltage being applied via a second input terminal 34 to the junction point of the emitter resistors. A load 22 is connected in a common part of the emittercollector circuits of the transistors and the arrangement is characterized in that one or more separate voltage supply sources electrically separated from the collector supply voltage 18, 20 are provided to produce the base bias voltage. As shown this is produced by separate batteries 28, 30: in an arrangement with A.C. mains supply, the base bias is derived from a separate rectifier fed from its own transformer winding (Fig. 2, not shown). The specification also discloses various modifications in which the input depends upon the position of the slider of a potentiometer, and in which Zener diodes are used to stabilize the base bias (Figs. 3-6, not shown).
