1,139,279. Polyacyl oxamidrazones. GLANZSTOFF A.G. 3 Nov., 1967 [4 Nov., 1966], No. 50006/67. Heading C3R. Polyacyl oxamidrazones having recurring units of formula where R is a direct bond or an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radical, are obtained by reacting oxalic acid bisamidrazone with one or more dicarboxylic acid halides of formula where X is chlorine or bromine, in the presence of an acid acceptor in a solvent at 0‹ to 150‹ C. A mixture of solvents may be used and they may be in single phase or in two phases. In examples oxalic acid bisamidrazone is reacted with terephthaloyl chloride and fumaric acid dichloride. Other dicarboxylic acid halides are mentioned.
