Abstract
1,138,567. Chloroaromatic amines. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORP. 8 Aug., 1967 [17 Aug., 1966], No. 36366/67. Heading C2C. Chloroaromatic amines are obtained by hydrogenating nitro monocarbocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons containing 1 or 2 Cl atoms, in presence of 0À05-0À5% triphenyl or tritolyl phosphite and 0À01-0À08% of a catalyst comprising Pt(1-5%)/C, sparge Ni, Pt black, Pd/C, Pt/Al or Pd/Al, at 30-125 C. and a hydrogen gas pressure of 100-1500 p.s.i.g.
