Abstract

113,564. Tichenor, L. E., and Tichenor Spring Wheel Co. July 3, 1917. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and helical springs. -Telescopic spokes C pivoted to the rim and hub enclose compression springs 24, a packing-ring 28 fitted on each outer spoke element 20 being covered by a sleeve 25 carried by the inner element 19. The rim comprises two flanged rings 8, the base portions being cut away at intervals to receive inverted channel pieces 12 within which the outer spoke-ends are pivoted. The inner spoke-ends are pivoted between fixed and detachable hub flanges 2, 3 respectively.
