Abstract

1,133,952. Wells etc.; boring holes by jetting. A. MONK & CO. Ltd. 2 Jan; 1967 [9 Oct., 1965], No. 42903/65. Heading E1F. A hole for a sand or like drain is formad by a thrust tube 11 loaded by a weight 17 and having an expandable jetting head 19. The tube is surrounded by a cardboard sleeve 24 for supporting the walls of the hole and attached to the head. The apparatus is slidable on a derrick mounted on a vehicle having a supply tank for the jetting fluid. The hole lined by the sleeve may be filled with sand or gravel, or left unfilled.
