Abstract
1,132,415. Refrigerators; evaporators. G. BAUKNECHT G.m.b.H. ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIKEN. 1 March, 1967 [2 March, 1966], No. 9731/67. Heading F4H. An evaporator assembly for use in a domestic refrigerator comprises an evaporator wholly enclosed by a jacket, one wall of which is a heat-conducting plate movable towards or away from the evaporator to vary the temperature within the refrigerator. As shown in the exploded Figure the evaporator plate 1 is mounted in a part 2 of the jacket and the heat conducting plate 3, which has fins 3<SP>1</SP>, fits adjustably into the top of part 2. The jacket is completed by an ice-box 6 which has flanges 6<SP>1</SP> slidable in grooves 7 in part 2. Sealing strips 4, 9, 9<SP>1</SP> are provided between abutting parts and a pad 5 containing liquid anti-freeze is interposed between plate 3 and the evaporator.
