The condenser 3 of a refrigerating system is formed by two shells 3a and 3b which are sealed together and enclose a cooling coil 6 which is supplied with water through its inlet 11. The shells 3a and 3b are identical with or geometrically similar to those forming the housing 2 of the motor-compressor unit which is mounted on the same stand 1 as the condenser. The housing 2 includes an oil sump 13 which is cooled by a coil 14 connected to the condenser cooling coil 6.
