Abstract
1,130,502. Jet loom. MACHINEFABRIEK L. te STRAKE N.V. 2 Nov., 1965 [3 Nov., 1964; 19 Feb., 1965], No. 46371/65. Heading DIE. A loop of weft is inserted into a picking nozzle through an opening positioned between a valved suction opening and the open end of the nozzle. One end of a weft fed into the storage member 10 is held between a clip 15 and the blade 12 of a cutting device and a loop pushed into the opening 7 by a plunger 18. The loop is sucked into the chamber 5, the end of the thread is then freed, sucked into the channel 4 and the loop picked by air blown down the annular channel 1. When wefts have been picked from the other side a new loop is drawn from the store. The blade then severs the end of the loop, and clamps the end of the next loop.
