Abstract

965,254. Jetlooms. MACHINEFABRIEK L. TE STRAKE N.V. Feb. 23, 1961 [Feb. 24, 1960], No. 6751/61. Heading D1E. A loop of weft is drawn into a jet loom picking nozzle 1 prior to picking. Suction through an opening 11 draws a loop of weft into channels 4, 5 and the picking is effected by air jets 2, 3;8, 9. During picking the suction through 11 is stopped and air drawn into the channels 4, 5 through an opening 12 is entrained by the picking air causing the weft to "float" in the nozzle. Either or both of the picking jets 2, 3;8, 9 may be operated. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 915, 521.
