Abstract

1,130,504. Jet looms. MACHINEFABRIEK L. te STRAKE N.V. 23 Feb., 1966 [23 Feb., 1965], No. 8002/66. Heading D1E; In a jet loom a weft 8 which is to be blown through the nozzle 4 is first pushed into the nozzle by a forked needle 6 which is adjustably mounted on a slide 11. To assist engagement by the needle the weft 8 is presented at right angles to the axes of the nozzle and needle. In a modification, fig 3, a similar needle 6a is used in an inserter comprising a receiver 15 and an auxiliary receiver 26.
