Abstract
1,129,890. Working at specified temperatures. INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd. 20 July, 1967 [25 July, 1966], No. 33457/67. Heading B3V. [Also in Division C7] Nickel-containing steels that are age-hardenable in the martensitic state are initially hotworked in the range 1205-1260 C.; final hotwork is over the range 925-1240 C. but the finishing temperature should be between 815 C. and 870 C. These conditions, and the subsequent heat-treatment (see Division C7), are stated to result in improved fatigue properties.
