Abstract

[Also in Division B5] A method of moulding a U-shaped pipe connector comprises placing a J-shaped core in an injection mould and injecting moulding material around the core to form a J-piece 2, 3, 4 having keying means 9 on the short end thereof, removing the J-piece from the mould, and then the core from the J-piece while the material is still soft. The moulded J-piece is then placed in a further injection mould and a further core is placed adjacent the free end of the short limb 4 of the J-piece, whereon the mould is closed and moulding material injected to form an extension piece 5 integral with the limb 4, the keying means 9 enhancing the bonding, to form the U-shaped connector. The connector may have a rim 11 to which a swivel connection 6 can be applied as a push-fit; the longer leg 2 of the connector may also have means 10 for a further extension or connections. A screwopening 7 may be formed while forming the J-piece.
