Abstract

The peripheral strip is fitted to the pane of glass (1) by placing the latter in a mould, and then casting the strip material (2) round it. The strip can be of plastic, formed into foam in the mould, and the pane with strip can then be placed in a further mould, for an additional strip to be cast round them, off different material to the first strip. The first strip can be of resilient material and the second of cement or similar material. The first pane and strip can be placed in a mould together with a second pane, a second strip then being cast to accommodate both.
