Cartridge-loading machines.-Relates to machines for charging cartridges with explosive and bulleting them, in one and the same machine, and of the kind in which the explosive charge given to a cartridge c is gauged by a plunger b. According to the invention, the plunger is coupled to a spring gripping-device g for removing the corresponding bullet e from the machine when the charge is deficient; the plunger in its downward stroke then carries the device g sufficiently low down to grip and remove the bullet. The plunger is guided by a sleeve j and cushioned by a spring i.
