130,152. Sharp, H. July 25, 1918. Gun cartridges.-Relates to propellent charges for cartridges or for ammunition which is not in cartridge form, and consists in the provision of a chamber b made of closely compressed or colloided explosive material, the chamber being closed at its forward end b<2>, which is thickened so as to act as a wad. The chamber moves along the gunbarrel on ignition, serving as the propellent of the projectile or of the shot charge e, and may, as shown, contain a powder charge d. A light closure c is provided in this case.
