Abstract

1,128,479. Electrophotography. DENNISON MFG. CO. Ltd. 23 Nov., 1966 [26 Nov., 1965], No. 52821/66. Heading H1K. An electrophotographic recording element comprises a support having a coating thereon of a dispersion of zinc oxide in a. binder together with a sensitizer comprising thiourea dioxide, or a compound of the formula:- wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> , R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> = H, lower aliphatic, lower cycloaliphatic, lower acyl, aryl or heterocyclic and R<SP>5</SP> and R<SP>6</SP> = lower divalent aliphatic, the heterocyclic ring being a sixmembered ring containing C, N and O. The support may be paper whilst the binder may be poly-α-methyl styrene or an acrylic polymer. A list of sensitizing dyes is given.
