Abstract

1,127,204. Automatic flue dampers. GAS COUNCIL. 10 April, 1967 [4 May, 1966], No. 19771/66. Heading F4W. A damper plate 7 co-operates with a fixed plate 11 such that when operatively connected to a radiant gas fire outlet at 5 and flue at 6 an increase in flue "suction" moves the damper to decrease the gap between damper and said plate. The device thus maintains a flow of waste gas which is substantially constant or within predetermined limits. The housing 1 may be of aluminium or other sheet material, the damper being of a heavier gauge than the said housing.
