[Also in Division F4] A burner air supply regulator comprises a freely pivoted valve plate 7 mounted in the air intake opening 6 of a casing 5, the plate 7 being biased towards its open position and being partially closable under air pressure caused by excessive uptake draught. The cylindrical casing 5 is rotatable about its axis relative to the burner casing 1 so that the effective air inlet opening may be varied, e.g. from x<SP>1</SP> in Fig. 2 to x<SP>2</SP> in Fig. 3. The valve plate 7 is freely pivoted at 8 and is biased by an adjustable counterweight 10, an adjustable stop 9 being provided to prevent complete closure of the valve. Alternatively or in addition the valve plate may be apertured.
