Abstract

1,125,325. Anchor station for mine conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHœTTE WESTFALIA. 18 Aug., 1966 [19 Aug., 1965], No. 36985/66. Heading B8A. [Also in Division E1] The drive station 1 of a face conveyer or winning machine is supported in the gallery of the mine by two pairs of hydraulically or pneumatically entensible jacks 9, 10 each pair being respectively pivotally connected to longitudinally extending roof and face support beams 11, 12. The support beams comprise a channel sectioned outer beam 3 the open face of which is in contact with gallery support frames 2, and a beam 4 extending within the channel and also in contact with the gallery support frames 2. The support beams 3, 4 are each supported by a respective independent series of extensible props 5, 6 connected together in a polygonal manner at the support beams 3, 4. The lower end of the props 6 has a sole plate 8 for engagement with the ground 7. To move the assembly longitudinally, one set of props 5, 6 corresponding to say support beam 4, are slackened whereby the beam 4 can be advanced by a suitable jack (13) (Fig. 2, not shown). The support beam is then anchored and the procedure repeated with the other support beam 3.
