1,125,135. Control valve for material. COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd. 8 Nov., 1965 [13 Nov., 1964], No. 46377/64. Heading B8S. A control valve for material is formed of two elements, element 7 pivoted at 8 and element 6 slid horizontally by a fluid cylinder operating at 12. The material flows downward from hole 1 and through hole 3. Operation.-Normally element 6 is slid to the left to the position shown and the discharge of material through hole 3 is governed by the pivoting movement of element 7. Should however a large lump block the hole then element 6 is slid rightwards to release the lump and is then slid leftwards into its normal position. The movement of the valve may be controlled by the level of material.
