Abstract

1,121,063. Feeding cigarettes. MOLINS ORGANISATION Ltd., and A. K. McCOMBIE. 6 Oct., 1965 [8 Oct., 1964], No. 41115/64. Heading B8A. Cigarettes C are conveyed by endless belt 1 from the left and are urged by rotating rollers 125 into the space between the endless belt 12 and rotating roller 8 which further progress the cigarettes therebetween clockwise and downwards till they are discharged to the left by endless belt 20 into the variable cigarette reservoir of Specification 995,663. Rollers 125 are pivotally carried by arm 33 pivoted at 30 and driven by belt 28 and, by means of arms 35 and 36, operates the switch 36a which controls the speed of roller 8, belt 12 and belt 20. Depending upon the supply of cigarettes from the left the rollers 125 pivot upwardly or downwardly about axis 31 to increase or decrease the speeds of the said roller 8, belt 12 and belt 20 to increase or decrease the discharge of the cigarettes in accordance with the inflow thereof.
